The George and Dragon is the perfect choice after a walk in the local countryside. Swallowfield lies at one end of the new long distance Blackwater Valley Path.

Our Chef Paul Brotherton, formerly of  the London St Brasserie, Reading, insists on using local produce wherever possible and never knowingly includes GM products.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar area.

The George & Dragon dates back to the 17th Century and is a Grade 2 Listed Building, it has served many purposes over the years – once being a coach house around the turn of the 20th Century, then a drinking hole and on to its current guise as a gastro-pub for the last 20 years under the ownership of Paul Dailey.
